Half way into my first date with my lovely wife, when I could tell there was a good chance she could be my dream girl, I informed her that I was a kook for guns. She was OK with it. Then I ordered desert for us.

I picked up a .44 special S.S. flattop last week. My first thought for customizing was to wonder how it would be with a melted treatment to all the sharp edges. For now I have a Simply Rugged holster on order, a set of Private's Custom grips and a lighter weight Wolf trigger spring. The trigger out of the box is great, but weighed 4 1/4# and I think the trigger spring will help lower that a bit. Don

Get your spouse involved in shooting with you...be truthful then you never have to concern yourself with a problem...It worked for 32.5 yrs with my first wife until her death...Seems to work with a second one thus far...FWIW

I guess my wife came from a little further out in the brush.......... I take her fishing and running trotlines, also bought her a 96/44,a SP101 and a Neos and take her hunting. The only jewelry she wears is her wedding ring..I even bought her $400 worth of earrings and necklaces for our 20th.

I have found my boys to be a cheap easy and convenient "excuse". Like, Hey Sweetie Pie Honey Sweetheart Princess Of My Life, Look at these 2 Anniversary Flattops I picked up for the boys, they are limited editions and I knew you would understand why I just couldnt pass them up. With a bit of common sense it works like a charm!!! TOSSING IN A DIAMOND RING OR OTHER JEWELRY ONCE IN AWHILE CAN'T HURT Very smart man! How are you doing Mr.Taffin?

On one of our first dates 35 years ago my sweetie shot my S&W model 34 at tennis balls out in the woods. She made me cut the tennis ball open to prove she hit it. Well this year will be # 35 and I still have her and the S&W. She also owns as many guns as I do! One time in a gun shop in Philomath Oregon she told me to buy both Kimbers..............There were two other guys in the shop ask her if she had any sisters!!! I'm very lucky.

Me too! Jan enjoys guns and understands the value. She was a bit surprised at the amount of guns that accrued during the last move, but pleasantly so. Life is great! Oh, yeah, She bought me a super clean used customized series 70 Gold Cup for Christmas.
