.
Are the older, large-framed Blackhawks and Vaqueros rare enough yet to bring more money than the new small-framed ones ?

Not really. The only guns that got replaced or superceded are the Vaqueros. No large frame Blackhawks have been dropped in favor of mid-frames. The mid-frame flattops in .357, .44Spl and .45Colt were merely added to the lineup. Though the only .357 was the 50th anniversary model.

Bisley stainless Vaqueros in the 4 5/8"bbl length seem to bring the most. Yes, more than the new ones.

Unless you capture a gun from a short run (special calibers, Shootists mistake gun, etc.) I suspect the shear number of guns produced will keep the values rather tame and affordable for all.
Happy New Year!
