.
Saw a NIB 5½ inch Ruger flattop with both 45 Colt and 45 ACP factory cylinders.
How common are these ?

I think the original run for Lipseys was 500 blue and 500 stainless. As far as I know Ruger hasn't made this a regularly cataloged item yet. Lipseys has also came out with a run of 4 5/8" guns.

To answer the O.P., the Flattop .45 Colt/.45 ACP Convertibles are a distributor special limited edition.
Hopefully, Ruger will add them to the line up. However, there are NO guarantees that this will happen. If you price is right and you can handle it - BUY IT!
By all reports, they are superb revolvers complete with correct dimensions. If I didn't already have a recent SS Bisley Convertible I would have one (or two).

Buy one. Hurry up. I'm enjoying my SS 4 5/8" version. Looking for a "perfect" 5 1/2" version.
