What PJV said. Also, the different lube thing. SPG works great with everything. It's a favorite with the black powder people, but I use it for everything. In addition, some barrels just like to lead. Try some JB Bore cleaner or the stuff from Remington that Wally World sells. The world of leading can get complicated. Just keep trying things, one change at a time.

MY WHEELWEIGHT BULLETS ARE 9. I AM CONTINUALLY SURPRIZED HOW BULLETS THAT ARE TOO HARD, HAVE BEVEL BASES AND HARD LUBE STILL SHOOT GREAT IN MOST SIXGUNS. Returning to this statement: Yes, they usually shoot just fine; unfortunately, at least in my Colts and Rugers, they leave a lot of lead in the barrel. No problem, just a pain to clean up.

One thing I always try when I find that a particular bullet is leading is to tumble lube them with some Lee Liquid Alox tumble lube. Even bullets that are already lubed have benifited from this easy treatment, and it really does eliminate leading in most cases. It has got so that I tumble lube almost all commercial cast bullets anymore, though I usually don't tumble lube the ones I cast myself. I simply put some bullets in a plastic margerine contained, squirt in a little of the liquid alox, put the lid on and gently roll them around for a minute or so until they're all coverd, then dump them out on a piece of aluminum foil to dry for a day or two.
Give it a try, it may work for you as it has for me,
