Well the new baby came home last night after work. I cleaned it and oiled it and could hardly contain my excitement until this morning to get to the range with it. I was very nervous the first few cylinders but when I settled down and got used to it the groups tightened up to where I thought they should be. Proved to be as accurate as I've seen and heard, and that makes my day. I was afraid that if anyone could end up with a lemon Freedom Arms it'd be me. I used cheap bulk pack ammo today because I knew I needed to get used to the gun and settle down and the accuracy was still great (2-3"/25yds) I'll try it out next time with some good stuff. This gun is a whole new world to me and I'm already wanting more of them. Why did I wait so long. ;D

Nice FA start! Contacted Ken O'Neill about a front blade yet?

I did, he said to check the height and get used to where it was hitting and we'd go from there. I didn't even have the guts to go near the sights with a screwdriver yet. It was scary enough taking out the base pin screw last night. :-)

That is really a great looking FA. I need to get a 22lr FA to my stable.

Axe- do you find the 252's to be more accurate than the 97?
Zeus- I'm just letting it hit where it wants for a while, I'm keeping all tools a long way away from it.

I haven't a clue. People who compare such things will tell you that the 252 will generally outshoot the 22LR 97. I can tell you that if 2-3" at 25 yards makes you happy you will be VERY happy with the 97. My 252 shoots knot holes at 25 yards.. With good ammo I venture to bet that my 10 inch Silhouette 252 is a .25 inch gun at 25 yards. I'd not expect the 97 to be far behind..

I have a couple FA front sights here, one fiber optic, one that Ken sent to me too. That is a sweet gun.

Thanks for the congrats all. Axe- 2-3" at 25yds is me, I'm sure most of my guns can do better. ;-)
