Can I shoot a .45 Auto Rim in my Blackhawk .45 ACP cylinder?
I can't seem to find a good answer elsewhere.
Thanks Folks!

The only difference that I can think of is headspace. The ACP headspacing off of the case mouth should put the case flush with the cylinder,as in my 40 S&W and 32 H&R cylinders. I am assuming that the Auto Rim uses the rim,it could put the case head to close to the frame.

Auto rims were designed for revolver guns that use moon clips , and not for the guns like the BH that don't use or need a half moon clip . Starline make a special brass like 45 auto rim spec to shoot in your 45 LC [Colt] cylinder without any mods to gun . The paste below should answer all your question cowboy45special.com/cowboy45brass.html

Thanks,
I don't have any brass so I can't try it.
Was just wondering.
