You need to start shooting these things Axe. What's the point of buying them all if they never burn powder? -Lee www.singleactions.com

Ecclesiastes 3:1 Something to the effect of, "All things in season and a season for all things." Peter Seeger put it in a song and the Byrds had a hit with it. Bottom line is I'm stepping and fetching as fast as I can.

Axe, Looks like you got taken. That barrel is full of HOLES! Perhaps it's rusted out or something. Maybe it's termites! Yikes. I think I'd have to look for a new barrel, one that has only two holes in it. The one where the bullet goes in, and the other where it comes out! Haha (cant find the durn smilies)

Don't shoot them all, Axe... that way you can ask for more when we buy one or two from you.

Termites? Full of holes? I'm telling you! We all know that while I'd never pay someone to magna port a gun, I'll also never turn a good deal on a gun down because it has been ported.. ;D FWIW the "boys" rant and rave about how easy this specific 475 is to shoot. Note the Bisley grip frame has been modified to Reeder's gunfighter configuration.. I won't argue that the porting might play a part but will remark that so much of recoil is personal perception. Collector? I thought about that when I wrote those lines. I still make a choking sound when that word tries to come out of my mouth. To me "collector" implies that one is stacking up stuff that he doesn't plan to shoot.. Let's us the term "accumulator" for me!

Good question about the etching on the cylinder.. Trust me... No Neked Women! This cylinder has buffaloes etched on it. Instead of being upright when the cylinder is horizontal the buffaloes go around the cylinder. That and the silver markings instead of the usual gold on this model Reeder custom were done per the wishes of the guy who originally had it built...

Axe, If you ever decide to part with that holey gun, let me know. I have been looking for a 475L and that would be the perfect addition to my arsenal.
