Very well made. Best black powder revolver for shooting and using, in my opinion. You are going to have some fun!

I bought a stainless "Liberty" Old Army in '76. It was a great gun. By far, the best of the percusssion revolvers. I wish I'd never sold it. Unfortunately though, I have no experience with the cartridge conversion kits.

Erich, I just reread your old thread. You've gotten some really good groups with that Old Army. Frank

How do they handle compared to the Colts/copies.

got the gun tuesday, got the conversion cylinder from Kirst wednesday...conversion cylinder slid right in, timing and lock-up are perfect. very impressed. ordered a belt mountain pin, and some fake-ivory carved steerhead grips from buffalo brothers.

Thanks, Frank. I appreciate your constant encouragement to utilize the .45 Colt. If you're familiar with Colt's, justahunter, they feel very different. If you're not, they probably feel really similar. Glad you got hooked up, Pat. Hope you have fun with it.
