According to my issue of the American Rifleman Colt is reviving the New Frontier, in .357 Magnum, .44 Special, and .45 Colt. I can't remember is barrel length options were stated or not.

Bob, your a little behind the times but better late than never. They will be offering it in 4 3/4", 5 1/2", and 7 1/2" barrels. Yes it is a dream come true. Check out Colts website they have it on there.

I've not seen anything solid on the serial numbers of the two guns at SHOT, but I'm not convinced they weren't just two older 3rd Gen guns they had lying around. I'm waiting to see reviews on the new production guns, which are planned, but have not been produced yet.
