Does anyone know what the maximum bullet nose length is for a cast bullet to be used in both a Seville and a Dan Wesson? Thanks.

The 375 SuperMag OAL is 1.94". The case is 1.610" so nose length is usually held to around 0.330". -Lee www.singleactions.com

Lee, thanks for the response. I checked the Sierra manual which listed C.O.A.L at 2.125. The Hornady manual listed O.A.L at 2.080. Subtracting the case length of 1.610 I was left with .515 from Sierra and .47 from Hornady. I was looking to order an LBT mold for a 225 WFN or WLN GC and was wondering if I can get away with a .5 nose or should go with a .45. If its a little long I guess I can always trim the cases back a few thousands.

gjn...you're absolutely right about the nose length. I posted from memory without looking at my data. The 0.334" I referred to is what I hold on my 375 Atomic: -Lee www.singleactions.com

Curious....what brass are you using for your 375 SuperMag? Formed or were you lucky enough to find some original Winchester? -Lee www.singleactions.com

I wish I had some original brass but any I have found has been $$$! I am cutting down Winchester 375 brass. Now if I could just find a 7.5" Seville to go with the 10" life would be grand.
