Paul, let me know if you decide to have Alan build that sixgun you are talking about. I will make sure he has one of my TLA's handy to fabricate the hammer spur for your sixgun. Thanks, I'll do that. Paul

I like them 2 2 Dogs, are those Rugers? What frame do they have if they are? Aside frm the obvious #5 I mean, I like the one piece grips, and have a pretty good idea as to how to do them on the Power #5 I've got sitting here, but I may have a little extra cash headed my way in thew near future and if somebody has already figured out how to do it the nI might have to sell that one and buy a different one.

no bears, the two pictured above are both bisley gripframes on Ruger base guns and I would guess that the stocks are two piece with a blind screw on the "picture takn'" side.....2 Dogs should be able to clarify it though. Those stocks really go well with the colors on the frames! That's the best picture I've seen of those two sixguns, they REALLY look nice Fermin!

Fermin,
Those are beautiful -- I particularly like the grips on the bottom gun -- they compliment the CCH perfectly.
From you personal perspective, what is the difference in recoil handling qualities of the Ruger Bisley vs. FA M83 vs. FA M97. I know this is subjective -- just looing for your impressions.
TIA,
Paul

Ferman You are learning this photography thing real quick. The picture of those two CCH octagon barreled guns is beautiful. Along with the guns. Are those grips French walnut? Bill

I dont really know the difference between french and english walnut. I just know that was the best wood I could lay hands on. I think Glenn got a piece of it.
NBY, you cannot put one piece stocks on a bisley or #5 style grip frame. Unless you NEVER take them off.....

Here is a stainless set of sixguns by Harton. Cylinder crap gound off, new front blades with sculpted bases, complete action work, custom base pins, bowen rears, and standing by for matching stocks when my brother gets around to it.

NBY, you cannot put one piece stocks on a bisley or #5 style grip frame. Unless you NEVER take them off..... I did not realize that the wood on the above was from the same piece as the one that you donated to me. I still owe you a couple of dinners for that you know! I've always been told that French and English walnut were basically the same thing but I'm not sure about the truth of that. here is the piece that I was gifted after Alan made it into stocks for my 475, I see the resemblance now, no wonder I liked those stocks so much in your picture ;D You have to love (and owe) a guy that will donate a piece of wood of this quality! Ken, give me a call one day and I'll walk you through the picture process if you need. if you don't still have the number around, shoot me a pm if you need to. Take care... Here is another of 2dog's brother's guns I think, he can elaborate more on it...
