I was thinking about that earlier. I had plans to go shoot with him when my gun was done.

Wow, it doesn’t seem like a year has passed already. He is still missed.

I didn't know him unfortunately, but it doesn't seem like a year. I have read some of his articles and drooled over some of his guns of course. I wish I'd had the chance (and money) to make his acquaintance.

Just have a honest interest in our sport, ask honest questions and he would offer all the time you could want. He knew I never had a pot to piss in but always made time to yak guns with me. I can still hear his voice in my head and it’s probably been 2 2 1/2 years since we spoke. There is a hole in the handgun world that won’t be filled again.

Sometimes it was even hard to get him off the phone when you called with a question. Miss him a lot. He was just a good guy!!!

Right after I bought my .500 Linebaugh from someone on here I called John to ask him about it. He was most gracious and freely gave me loading data and what he sighted the gun in with and which bullets to use for different game and long range shooting. I have never met him but it was like talking to an old friend. He told me to call him back after I shot ut and let me know which loads worked best. I wish I would have met him earlier in life

I was looking at his website yesterday. It appears that it's still up. I wonder if someone will take it down or if they're leaving it as a memorial. There was no mention of his death on the site that I could see.
