I use a android not a iPad but it works the same. You can use a app to resize photos. Usually shows up like this. If you click on the picture it shows up full size.

Dang, my old 45 is looking rough. Nah, just has character. I've accumulated some " character " along with it. I think my wife has a different name for it.

I use postimage.org most of the time. I do use imgur, but I don't care for it. I only used it a while until I found postimage. However, you can use anywhere, even facebook to host images for you. Just upload your image and copy the image url (thats the address of the image that appears in the search bar when viewing the image, or you can right click and copy "image address"), then wrap that in image tags in your post and it will render the image in your post. This is image tags, beginning, then end: [img]paste image url here[/img] This is what the image url will look like: https://i.postimg.cc/pv4xs524/2557714-A-FB67-4-D56-BE3-E-AD57-F7-BEC220.jpg This is what it looks like when you combine the two: [img]https://i.postimg.cc/pv4xs524/2557714-A-FB67-4-D56-BE3-E-AD57-F7-BEC220.jpg[/img] And this is the above code, but instead of in the special "code" box so you can see it, it's just pasted in the reply box:

Lever gunner, I’m trying to follow your good instructions on posting an image. Where do I get the image tags to wrap around my image url? Do I just type in [/img] ?

I don't love the tapatalk app but it sure makes posting pictures easy.

Yep, you just type it in:
[img][/img]
with your picture url between them, leaving no spaces.
When you post, the forum software reads that and says, what's inside those image "tags" must be an image, and renders it to the forum. It's basic HTML and works just about everywhere.
The square brackets
[]
are the computers signal to look for instructions.

Thanks gents. What I’m trying to do is post pictures here without a third party host. It’s doable on a iPad due to a recent update. Thing is when I chose the pic and try to post it says file to big . So anyone that has and is posting pics here with a iPad help a brother out! lol

You'll have to resize the pictures to get them to upload. When the forum software is set up, you select the maximum size of picture you'll accept.
