Thought I was good to go with a JP Enterprises RMR Mount for a Leupold Delta Point on an older S&W K Frame in 22. What options are out there or am I left with drilling and tapping the top strap?

I remember B-Square made a weaver base for S&W non factory drilled guns. But I'm not sure they still do, you could possibly find one on gunbroker or ebay. It was not small as I remember it, but it did claim "no gunsmith" so probably no drill-tap required. Some of those mounts from back in the day could leave marks on the sides of the top strap, personally I'd rather drill-tap under the sight spring, which disappears if I go back to fixed sights than mar the bluing.

B-Square need the rear sight to be removed first_I have one: maybe can work on a .22, but a total failure on .44mag._ Buehler mounts worked quite well on my .44s, witout any drilling and without marring the top strap, but fixed 1"proprietary rings only, no Picatinny-Weaver_

Thanks but no, looking for a direct mount for a micro. Sucks when the eyes go.

Trijicon offers a blank mount you can machine up your own direct mount from one of those.
