What I'm hearing is we need a 38-40 Python to preserve some tenon thickness while stepping up from the 357.

Yesterday I saw and handled a new blued Colt Python at Sheels. My, my, my... what a beautiful revolver.
I wish I could say mine, mine, mine.
4 incher. So nice.

Hope they make a 3" blued.

Interesting look. I have a 4.25 stainless polished 2023 python that I love. My roommate thinks it's my nicest looking handgun, even beating out the engraved Dan wesson 45 I got.
After looking at the bluing just in vids etc. I gotta say I really like it.
However I gotta say I'm not a big fan of 3 vents on the 4.25. So when I get one in blue it'll be either a 3" or a 6". The spacing of the vents just looks off.
Don't get me wrong, they're trying something new artistically and I wholeheartedly commend them for that. It took me a bit to warm up to the nu-Python's top strap before I bit the bullet and got one.
And maybe it's my OCD or spectrum related whatever nature issues that my little brother insists I have, but the lack of spacing between the vents on the 4.25 python bugs the heck outta me.
Does anyone else feel that way?
Either way, here's hoping they make a 45 or a blued anaconda. Because it's either that or the 22 as my next snake gun.

I saw in a group somewhere where a feller had one of the new ones next to the original and said it was pretty comparable. Not sure how reputable of a source he is though.

Hickok45 just released a video the other day with a bit of a side by side of the new blued vs. Original. It was good to watch but overall pretty topical as an informational vid.
