It is nice to take a break from the bigger shop projects and work on smaller stuff sometimes. Normally these projects take less time and are less stressful. My sons wife recently sent me a picture of a small table and chair set that she wondered if I could make for our 20 month old grandson. There were a few basic dimensions with the picture so it was just a step to start doing drawings until the scale of the parts looked like the picture. Once again this is something I will take back to DC as a checked "bag" so it had to be designed as a knock down set so it could be reassembled on sight but still meet airlines baggage requirements. Since it is for a toddler we decided to make the seat h eight adjustable as he grows and I made a second set of legs that are prefit to go over the original legs to add two inches of height to the table as he gets taller as well. After all the larger projects this last few months this looks like I've made a miniature doll set! All that is left is the sanding sealer and the 5-6 coats of poly for a finish then build the custom box to check it in.

That is very nicely done sir. An ingenious design to meet all of those requirements!

A question. Checked baggage fee and wrestling thru terminals vs UPS ahead a time, so you find it there when you get there ? Not being a pain. In years when my FIL was young enough, healthy enough, we did some serious fishing in the Tampa area. I found it less stressful to mail my rods and tackle down, than wrestle thru terminals. FIL would call and confirm that gear was there, then jokingly tease me, if I didn't get there soon, He'd take my gear fishing without me !

Legitimate question on shipping Bula. Alaska has a direct flight from Portland to Reagan National and since I use an Alaska Airlines business card to pay for our tickets we can get two checked bags for free. Pretty safe option versus the new higher costs of shipping. Alaska allows 64 total inches of L + W + H for checked bags and by creative packaging I can meet those requirements. When I took the Pikler piece last trip I made my own cardboard box and made it with an 1 1/2” to spare. Thus one should be much smaller.
