Anyone around here have a Taylor's or Uberti or other quality 1875 Remington clone in 45 Colt? For those that do, how are the throats for size and consistency? Is it relatively easy to get .451 and .452 bullets to shoot accurately? I really have the urge for one, but not if they shoot patterns.
Thanks in advance!

I had a nickel Cimmaron one, the Frank James gun. It shot good. Was before I measured throats or anything. It was good. My father has the Uberti 1890. Basically same gun just without the fin. Its excellent. Tiny rear sight groove, narrow tiny front sights.

Regardless of importer, Uberti is the only manufacturer. Several years ago we bought Dad one for Christmas. It is hands down the most accurate fixed sight sixgun I've ever encountered.

That’s pretty high praise for the Uberti. I have one just haven’t had it out yet but that statement makes me feel pretty good about it.

Would like an 1890 .45ACP convertible.

I have a pair of 75's in 44-40 that are great shooters, been using them as my main CAS guns for at least 10 years. I also have a pair of 1890's in 45 Colt that shoot fairly well. albeit 8" low at 15 yards. Need to do some sight filing.

Uberti also makes SA's in stainless.
