Plain was not meant as a disparaging description. I can typically look at John’s guns and see the customizations however subtle. That one just looks plain other than the front sight.

Some nice guns. Didn't get the few I had phone bids on but picked up a couple New Frontiers.

If you bought the 5 1/2" NF in 45 Colt you are a dog!

I was the runner up on the 38 NF also bid on the Bowen 41 and Linebaugh 500. I did get the 2 5.5" 45 Colt new frontiers. I think they're both 2nd gen guns

Really wanted the 38 special New Frontier, and it went pretty cheap for what it is. I'm trying to be less of a collector, but hopefully someone here got it.

It was a pretty gun, but I have a very nice 41 already that doesn't get shot much. Hoping to put some miles on the 45 new frontiers though.

Good job on snagging the 45 NF guns Mike. I need another gun like I need a hole in the head but I think I stopped just a tad short of your bid on the one with the light grips.

I'll be interested in seeing what I bought. They have them listed as being built in 1978 & 1979, but i'm coming up with 63 and 64 for the serial numbers they provided

That's the one I let t get away . I spent my money on the two that came up before that one. Someone got a really nice one with the one you bid on. Seemed like a steal for a 2nd gen with those grips. Couldn't bring myself to bid on a 3rd one though

Boge Quinn got the 38sp. He had a history with that gun, Madbo and Terry Murbach, that gun ended up where is belonged.
My brother got 3 total today from the collection, didn’t steal any of them but didn’t over pay either.
Seemed a lot of the guns brought middle of the road prices, I wonder if the number of duplicates kept the prices down somewhat. How many auctions come up that have 5 pre29 4” 44 mags to choose from? Most of the time there is one gem like that and multiple guys try and get that gun driving the prices up.

With a little over 500 made they're not really common, but there were 3 for sale. I felt the same way about the Elmer Keith auction as well. With 150 or so of Elmer's guns going at the same time, prices semed a bit low on some items. The things of his I've seen sell since have generally been at a much higher price.
