I too am glad you got it.
Didn’t know they did the short action jobs without the cockeyed hammers.
I didn’t realize that was Madbo’s gun when it was up for auction….

That is a really nice revolver. I'm interested in how it shoots. Many years ago when I was in Denver I passed up buying a Colt New Frontier with 4 3/4 inch barrel on consignment at a gunshop for $650. That was in the early 80's and it was a bit pricely for me. Now I regret not buying.

The closest I`ll ever come to a beauty like that is the Callshot brass

Grail Gun, if there ever was one that qualifies as such.

The great thing about people like Madbo is they never really die, they just kind of fade into the background a bit. He will always be with us. He showed us so many guns I can't remember if I saw that one or not.

I have pics of it on the middle of the revolver bed...

I have made several returns to this thread. I am trying to talk myself out of building a copy of that gun. Understated ellegance.

I never had the obvious pleasure of meeting him,, or even seeing his guns like this. When I saw this thread,, I feel a twang of regret. For I have truly missed a good person. But to see his gun like this,, knowing a little more history will be added,, makes me smile.

I met the man briefly two times. He bought 2100 pieces of 44 Special brass from me and told me to keep 100 of them and to only ship the 2000 to him. It made me smile when I saw them in the picture above. I was glad to see that he was using them because they made his guns shoot better. He made a video (Callshot QuickDraw) where he dropped his baseball cap, drew and fired his gun and caught his hat with his gun. A true gentleman!
