I am converting a Blackhawk from Plowhandle to Bisley as soon as the parts (that I could find) come in. I was able to source everything except for the two rear frame screws that are the Allen heads. Is there a hardware store equivalent of these screws that I can find? Or does anyone have any extras laying around that I could buy?
I was also wondering, for the sake of wondering, if there is any way to use a super Blackhawk hammer with a Bisley trigger? I know there would be an excessive hole in the grip frame, but would it work?

Pretty sure it's a 6x40 screw a bit less than 1/2" overall length

When I click to select the Bisley screw it shows out of stock, with only the slot screws available. Thank you for your help though!

I believe somebody had posted in another thread that Midway had them in stock.

I'm sure the 3/8" will work perfectly for you.
kevshel, I looked and Midway now shows them "out of stock"... I guess a lot of folks were waiting on them

Note in the Brownells picture (and mentioned in Ruger's reassembly video) that these are Nylock screws. That is what keeps them tight. You can not shorten another screw to replace these and Ruger does not recommend Loctite on them.

Yes while I understand the ideal, if I can get these other screws for none other than to fit the frame I’ll be happy. Also, gunsmiths of long ago used what they had and had access to. While I’m in no way claiming to be a gunsmith, I have to consider that if something works, it works. Maybe I’m wrong, but that’s my two cents.

This is what I settled on, I will update when everything gets in and I can begin assembly.

That's a torx drive screw, it should work and they do make ball end drivers, but ball end Allen are more common, and ball end is convenient with a Bisley. Personally with little screws I always try to Find Holo-krome brand. They never disappoint.

I guess I am the only one that re-uses the flat head screws from the plow handle frames when I convert them….

I know there would be an excessive hole in the grip frame, but would it work? Umm, are you saying fit a Bisley trigger to a Super Blackhawk? If so, that is possible. Someone once made this drawing with dimensions: But the Super Blackhawk hammer on a Bisley....why? Bob Wright
