Here's the .357 carbine I'm thinking about getting as soon as I find the best price on it. It's a deluxe take-down Trapper with pistol grip, octagon barrel, and pistol grip. Nice. I prefer a shotgun butt, but that's a nice one for sure! The fit and finish of those Winchesters are outstanding! I have this Turnbull finished 1892 And this 1886

LeverGunner your Turnbull 92 is beautiful. I don't mind the cresent buttplate as long as it's not a hard recoiling caliber.

I have one of these in 45 colt and it’s a dandy. I need to modify the lifter to allow a OAL bullet over 1.600” and I will be really happy with it. I also with it had a shotgun buttplate and a bit of a recoil pad. Those are strong actions that will take any Ruger only loads except a Ruger only 335gr load and that crescent buttplate is not a marriage made in heaven. Will do in a pinch.

I'm not a rifle guy but one of those in 357 would be a lot of fun & pretty cheap to shoot. Bob, that's good shooting, but I'm not surprised! And that 92 Winchester is awesome, yikes!

I wasn't aware they made a 1892 take down in 45 Colt like the pic of the 357 here. That would be really cool too.

They make the 24" version like I have in 45 Colt. When I got mine, I had the choice between 357 Mag, 44 Mag, 44-40, 45 Colt. I chose 44 Magnum, mostly due to the fact I have a 44 Special Blackhawk. That was from Turnbull though. My gun will run 44 specials without a hitch, specifically the RCBS 44-240-SWC and 44-250-K.

I have an early 1894 Winchester Trapper in 45 Colt. It doesn't have any of the safety junk on it except for the rebound hammer. If Winchester would have put a tigther chamber in them it would dang near be a perfect leveraction. They did put a fast twist in them than Marlin. It's still a very accurate carbine. I have a set of peep sights on it and you just use the rear scope base holes to attach it.

Yea, I picked up a Winouko TD Trapper in 45 Colt too. Deleted the the inertia hammerleg on the hammer strut and was able to cut 2 or 3 coils of the mainspring. Nice rifle and a comfort in Yogi's neighborhood with Buffalo Bore 325 of a simular homebrew.
