Hey Fellas, I've been shooting some powder coated lead bullets out of my 10mms and even after cleaning with a copper brush, this is what the muzzle looks like. I naturally don't want to scratch the muzzle. What suggestions do you guys have?

Chore Boy COPPER pot scrubber. Accept no imitation, copper plated stainless steel.

Brownells sells copper wool. It's the only place I've found pure copper "Chore Boy". Most of the stuff you find in the grocery store, etc. is copper-plated steel, even Chore Boy brand can be. And that can be a dangerous road to travel.

Let the barrel soak in hoppes for an hour or so, then scrub with the brass brush, with some copper wool, it'll come off

Easy to verify with a magnet…….personally, if it bothers you set the muzzle in a bottle cap of lead remover solvent Hoppes, outers, any good cleaner. soak it and then take a brass or copper brush and scrub. Otherwise I wouldn’t worry about it. Trapr

Is it safe to scrape the muzzle with a brass or copper brush? Will that risk scratching the muzzle?

Steel is harder than copper or brass, I’d say No.

Chore Boy (my choice), or bronze wool wrapped tightly around a smaller caliber bronze bore brush. Back & forth the full bore length. A bunch.
What ever the fouling on the crown is (lead, powder coat, or combination of both), it wouldn't surprise me to see a substantial buildup of it in the bore - that is mostly resistant to normal bore brush & solvent treatment.

As previously stated, I would not worry about it.
