Hello everyone. New guy on board, and relatively new to single action revolvers. For me it started with the entry level (but fun) Heritage RR all blue with 6.5" barrel. From there came a second RR, also with 6.5" barrel but with the faux case hardening frame and laminate grips. Those were about a few years back, but just recently got around to picking up a Single Six (new model) convertible and a Blackhawk (new model) in .357. These latter two have sparked a serious interest in knowing more and everything relating to the SA. I look forward to learning from you all and I will try not to be a pest with a bunch of newbie questions - I will search the best I can for answers

We all started somewhere, and you have a good start. There are no dumb questions. If you don't know the answer ask, that's how we learn! We have no way of knowing your skill level so I will add. Learn the guns, and learn to shoot what you have as is, before you even think about changing anything. A good trigger is at the top on my list. Never mention the c word around here [customize] that's like blood in the water to the sharks on here. LOL

Does kinda sound like you need to shop for sumpin' with a bigger hole in the end of the barrel, just sayin'. He he he !

Thanks for the welcomes to everyone!! I'm one with not alot of funds so the C word won't be coming up much from me. Of course changes on items that I think will improve the revolvers, or improve my shooting skills sure - but I like to think if it aint broke, don't fix it. As much as I like the idea of sumpin' with a larger hole at the end of the barrel (like a 44 special or 45 colt - the classic), again funds hinder me and the cost of the larger cal stuff can be crazy at times. I know, I need to learn how to reload and it is on my short list of things to do so as soon as possible. The older I get (not a spring chicken anymore) the quicker time seems to be running out - so I need to get on the ball.
I like the Rugers very much but do have a gripe with them (can you guess what it is?). I will save this gripe for the appropriate forum...
Thanks again to everyone for the warm welcome!

The 357 will serve you well, and as noted is cheaper to feed than the bigger bores. It is also easier on older wrists than some others are. I shoot a lot more .22 than I do big bore anymore, and the single six is a good training tool. It is also a lot cheaper to feed.
