Plus the 38sp is a great cartridge. Target, pests, self-defense, and as a 38-44, a decent deer round. One of My favorites just to shoot.

I have a pair of Colt 3rd gens, used, shot a little bit, not collectible or special at all. I like the idea of a 38/357 but have shot both them exactly once since I got them. I’m a 45 guy in a SAA. I know it wouldn’t be really cost effective to have them converted to 45, but if a good smith did it I’d know what I had when he got done. Who would y’all recommend for a job like that? At this stage of my life I'm going the opposite direction. Bobby time a is building me the Ultimate Single Action .38 Special starting with a .45 Colt Flat-Top Target Model. Plans for a write-up on this one? Sounds intriguing.
