Here are a couple of my Schofield Revolvers in some period style leather. Not original Schofields but still pretty nice in my opinion. Attachments:

I can only buy a genuine S&W Schofield due to the commiewealth. I never find one for sale when I have money, but one day I will have at least one. If I lived in a free state I'd have a brace of Ubertis.
Nice rig there.

I was lucky to get the pair I have when they were still less than 800/each. Now they are over a grand which is a little crazy if you ask me.

Bought my Dad one for his birthday once. Even made the 45 Schofield ammo for it. Shot PERFECTLY to the sights. Now all I want is for him to give it back. LOL.

My brother has 2 by cimarron in 45 colt. Tiny rear sight. I had a cimarron 1875 remington in 45 colt. Cool gun but tiny rear sight.

Next time i am in one of the particular gun safes, i will dig out my heirloom Number 3. Need to remember which one its in first. Hahaha. I will take some pics for you Sw Schofeild fans. Traded to my great great grandfather RG Wells and passed down to me. dont know what the backstory was but i know from my grandfather that it was either a trade or payback from one of the soldiers stationed at fort bowie. As a lot of you know i was born in cochise county and he was a deputy sherrif in cochise county and spent alot of time in Tombstone and Bisbee chasin cowboys. By the way in the late 1800s the word or name cowboy was kind of a put down or used in a negative fasion to those that were less desirable to have hangin around. I had it authenticated by Smith and wesson years ago and it was issued to the 4th Cal in the 1870s. They were tasked with either capturing or introducing a man named Goyaka ( spelled differently but pronounced as such) who was a real maggot, to Jesus The old Army way. Hahaha. It meant in apache one who yawns alot. The mexicans called him geronimo and he terrorized that area of the country for a number of years. My ancestors did not have anything to do with that but for a few years, its my understanding that he was still a threat. The revolver is of course used and wore but still shoots unique light loads with out a hitch. I have never messed with the finish cuz i just think it looks old and cool. I also have a newer reproduction and i love to chamber 45 Schofeild into Rugers. What a great cartridge i have found it to be. When starline punched them out a couple of years ago i bought a thousand just so i would have plenty. in a modern cylinder you can really turnem on if you so desire. Me and Huey have had many a great conversation about that cartridge. Here is one of my favorite birdsleys in 45 Schofeild/ 45 Acp combo twin cylinders. Not the same as a Nmbr 3 SW but still agreat cartridge to build something on. Like i said, i will get a pic of my real one soon. Please post pics of what you guys have got cuz this thread got my blood pumpin. They really turn me on. Those and Omnipotents. R PS: Potato judge has got a really Bitchin Omnipotent.

In Massachusetts there are two lists any handgun has to be on to be sold. So I can buy any pre 1994 handgun, but "modern" guns have to be on a tested and approved list from the state police which requires mfg submit three samples and pay for destructive drop testing etc. That doesn't guarantee the AG will add it to her list, which is entirely at her whim. Gen 4 glocks were briefly on sale here then she decided she didn't like them. So I can own the S&W performance center Schofield they briefly made, which is what I'm looking for. I can't order any BFR or magnum research guns. And now that S&W pissed them off no new S&W are getting approved, which really chafes my chaps. None of the Ruger distributor specials get approved either. I used to have access to one of the paths for off list guns. There are always ways, but they get expensive. Now I just try to buy standard Rugers and build my own specials.
