I use my 6” in both .22 and .38 regularly, even competing in Distinguished PPC with the .38 for a couple years before dropping out of the game for 15 years. I also use the .22 chasing bunnies annually in fundraiser bunny hunt. I have one of my most memorable handgun hunting shots in that hunt 4 years ago, a running shot at 27 yards. Failed on the first couple shots with a slow lead, and hit it in the 3rd rolling it.
I agree that they just fit me and point with the sights aligned without adjustment. It sure helps that they are an attractive work of art. I’ll get pics when I get back home.

Why do I think I remember there being a throat size problem with these 22lr? Did I already ask this question……

Never heard of a throat size issue? Most Diamondback posts get my attention.
I can imagine a problem if trying to shoot 22mag, but haven't heard issue shooting 22lr.

Where can I buy it! ------------- No longer made, but there are excellent examples out there. All of mine were bought used. Gunbroker.com, Gunsinternational.com, gunsamerica.com, and probably a colt forum. Gun shows, lgs local gun store, pawn shops, state gun sites, auction houses...

Beautiful guns. Wanted one badly when I was young and couldn't afford it.

Not to be Debbie Downer here, but, The New CZ Colt company is building a 4" 22 stainless Diamondback sized revolver for a lot less money. They look real nice.

You're not being a downer. That was the .22 revolver that I lusted over back then. Different options available today.

A Colt made by CZ could be a beautiful thing. Their manufacturing is top notch.

CZ would be smart to just bring back the DB as was...
Funny story...back in the mid 1990s a friend was looking for a 4" DB .22... He called one day saying he had found one but it was in .22 Magnum so he passed it. There was just stunned silence on my end... He finally asked what was wrong and I told him that Colt only cataloged that gun the first year and only a handful were made... He hung up and called the shop where it had been the day before but it was gone...

Any reviews on the new 22lr King Cobras? They are the same size as the diamondbacks from what I understand…

I dont get it... How does one own one of these fine 22's and NOT shoot it?? I would have night terrors over it sitting in the safe unfired. My only example of a Colt revolver is a Python 6 inch from the 70's and you bet I shoot it. I dont carry it on the tractor, but sunny Sunday afternoons with my son, you bet!
