Why not use the same ammo in both ? Second thought, he is louder than either firearm. Third thought, he must be related to GingerBilly. Last thought, getting a headache, is thank you, was entertaining.

That's a neat build. The 500 case is inefficient for subsonic rounds but a FA97 in 45 ACP or Cowboy built similarly or a 480 mid frame Ruger would make a pretty nice dedicated suppressed revolver.
For a near interference fit on the barrel cylinder gap, I wonder if a concave flare on the breech face of the barrel tenon, left sharp, could cut through and scrape off any residue that might otherwise start to bind the action. Try to minimize gas escaping while retaining reliability.

I saw a prototype suppressed revolver from the 30's. Has a o-ring wipe between the barrel and cylinder. Supposedly good for a cylinder full of 38's.
It's in the OSS museum at Herefordshire.
