this winter has been hard on my ribs... 1st I fell on the ice while carrying a forklift gas tank, landing on the tank, I pretty badly broke the ribs on my left side...
about the time the pain was manageable ( about 5 weeks later ) I got rammed by my ram at the farm, while I was bent down pulling hay out of their winter water dishes, he hit me really hard, on my right side, right in the ribs... more broken ribs, & the wind knocked out of me twice in 2 months...
now this week, somehow. I think I pulled a muscle on my stomach... muscles feel normal position, but quite a bit of pain... it's been longer slower healing with the ribs on the right, that my normal carry position... pulled muscle may have been due to compensating for the rib pain on both sides???
anyway, might be best to let the revolver ride in the truck, instead of my belt until my "middle" starts feeling more normal...

Might be a good time to slip something light into a front pocket. A Ruger LCP in 380 or a NAA 22 mag. Good Luck with the ribs.

yup... hate to not carry ( don't really have a dangerous lifestyle ) but have been carrying nearly everyday for almost 15 years... sold off a lot of my micro stuff during my "sell off" a couple years ago... might be time to start carrying one of my antiques in my pocket ( better than nothing )

I don’t really have lightweight stuff, a single NAA 22wmr and a SW60. The wife has several Ruger, SIG, etc. a buddy has a Seecamp, like you I probably should get something small and easily secreted, yet accurate beyond a couple feet.

Those dang rams are tough. Had one but me in the leg once. Didn’t walk right for a month. I have a little lcp that is great for front pocket carry. Great for when you just got to have something but no place to carry it. I put one of those side clip thingys on mine. Fits about anywhere. When I have to be really discreet I slip it into my boot. Not the best place but beats going unarmed

AIRWEIGHT J-FRAME IN THE POCKET

I still have several air weight J Frames... trouble is, my pockets are normally pretty full... I'd have to do some rearranging or cutting back on other things... maybe replace my pocket knife, with one with a belt clip, start carrying my wallet in one of my back pockets ( always have put my wallet in a front pocket, both for security, & so I didn't have to sit on it )
but may have to make some sacrificing for a month or so...

Sam Andrews makes an excellent OWB EDC holster (calls it a Saddle Style), that conceals well, & is very comfortable. If pockets are full, it works great for a J frame...

What LAH said, OUCH ! I popped a floating rib, lowest rib out a few years ago now. it got pushed kinda up and partially behind the rib above. I managed to pry it most of the way back in place. During worst of covid, Doc only asked if I was spitting up blood, said to stay home otherwise. You can see yet it is not quite in similar place as other side. No beauty pageants for me. Jeez MWM ! You gotta hurt ! Next time try and land on your...you pick and end.

I was vaccinating my Mother's sheep herd by myself several years ago when a ram got a 30 foot running start and hit me square in the middle of my back. After I caught my breath I screamed like a wildcat caught in a square baler. Took two people to carry me out of the pens to the house. I could have sworn my back was broke. Two weeks of sucking down pain pills like they were coming from a PEZ dispenser. I had two bulged discs on my left side and the swelling was pinching the nerve to my left leg so bad I could not feel it to walk, but the nerve would catch on fire all the way to my left foot and burn like hell. Pure misery. This Barbado ram had a little over a full curl of horn. As soon as I was able to come back to the ranch I informed, not asked, that the ram was sold to someone who wanted it desparately. Mother got upset that I sold her oldest ram. I said "You want me to sell it or shoot it? Aint no other options." The ram sold for 250.00.
I sure hate that you are hurt so soon again after your first spill. I really do feel your pain. I have a nice little cheap stainless 8 shot 22 mag you could borrow if you were closer. I pray you get better soon.

my ram probably goes over 300 lbs, poled, but to see these sheep butt heads settling a dispute, you would think they would crack their skulls open... if I'm watching, my ram will turn off, but if he thinks he has a clean shot, he's got no brakes... I was wiring up a panel one day, when we were loading up lambs, about a year ago, & he got me from behind, hit me in the butt, & tossed me over the fence, while the MRS was watching... this time I was sideways up against the fence, & bent over, offering my ribs, right at the best height for him... it was like taking a helmet from a 300 lbs line backer in the ribs, with no pads on
guy has "business" that about drags on the ground, & has no problem taking care of all the ewes, or I'd trade him off... he's not mean, always wants to be around me when I'm working, just takes a cheap shot once in a while... he came pretty close to getting a "hot Lead" treatment this last time, after I finally got my wind back...
not really under standing this stomach muscle pain... almost feels like I got a bad hernia, but nothing is out of place... thinking it may have been from doing dumpsters at work (we put paper garbage in big pallet sized boxes, to keep it from blowing around the neighborhood ) & I have to push them off the pallets, or throw the pallets away too... the garbage company traded me to these 6' tall dumpsters, so I have to raise the pallets up as high, & push the boxes off... doing this causes me the most pain... or... it might have been hopping out of bed, when my alarm goes off, this is also painful to the stomach muscles... either way, both are something I do or have done for the last couple years, & I don't remember feeling something pull???
