Beautiful gun! I have it’s twin in the safe but mine came with the birds head hammer and Rob Rowen did the one piece grips on mine.

Beautiful gun but those jeweled hammer sides is a detractor for me.

I don't see much written about the 3 1/2" barrel length on single action revolvers.
Does it have any redeeming qualities besides being easier to conceal for a shop keeper or sheriff?

No real benefit other than length reduction. There was that small run plus the few that USFA made in that size but with the bisley spurred hammer like the one I have in the safe. One nice handy little package if 45 Colt snort.
