Just as a background to folks not familiar, Linotype is nominally 4% tin and 11% antimony. Wheel weights tend to vary in composition, but the old clip on versions are generally 0.5% tin and 4% antimony. Just an FYI.

My alchemy lessons continue.
Linotype is still there monday 4/10/23. I just received mine and it looks good. Can't wait to try it with some WW. 40 lbs is $120 delivered. That's only $3 per pound with excellent tin and antimony making it easy to achieve desired mix and fine boolits. That seems like it should last me till the end of my time.
linotype 40 lbs
$27/lb 4% 1.6 lbs = $ 43 tin
$20/lb 14% 6.4 lbs = $128 antimony
$2.25 /lb 82% 32.0 lbs = $ 72 lead
------- $243 Rotometals value (paid $120 delivered)
cost guesstimates from small purchases (under 50lbs). Does this math make any sense?
the times they are a changing. Wheel weights are disappearing and Green states are attacking all the metals. I thought primer prices would come down, but no way soon. Planning and storing a little may not be a bad idea.

Would anyone care to share their favorite bullet mix using linotype for shooting 357 Maximums at say 1700fps.
Why did you choose the percentages that you used?
