I finally got word last week while I was in Colorado that the middle 58 parts gun and the old model 70 Supergrade had cleared the background process after bones 70 days. When I went to pick them up this morning I found out my long cylinder 45 Colt Forkin gun I bought back had also cleared! All three got out of jail and made it home at last. Good thing I’m out of the hunt for guns with the way things are going here.
The old model 70 is so much like my first elk rifle I’m tempted to keep it and maybe let the Browning B-78 7 mag single shot retire.

70 days is crazy! In MD, we've dealt with a 7-day waiting period on handguns for years. Illegal and unconstitutional, but here we are. Glad you got yours home.

Here is the old model 70 270. Dings, Marbles front and rear sight and bluing worn but fits me perfectly at this stage in life. This is the Forkin long cylinder Colt I commissioned from Ben and which was about 5+ years in the making. Thanks Tim for letting it come home.

That model 70 is my speed. My granddad let me have his and I hunted with that one for a while. There's no replacing a rifle like that. And that bisley is pretty spectacular looking.

There's a lot of moss but no fleas in that picture of the Ruger

That Bisley gets better the more I look at it
Sometimes I think the long cylinder guns look better without a black powder chamfer. Really accentuates the full window length cylinder.
I'm going to pretend that ERH screw was intentionally regulated rather than landing horizontal by 1/180 odds.
