For whatever reason, I’ve decided I want one of these. I’ve looked at a Ruger and a high end JP. What else is out there? What do you guys have experience with?
Thanks.

S&W just announced a pretty cool folder but for just plain stupid fun plinkin don't discount the Hi-Points. Lots of fun shootin but you have to hide them in the closet and not let your friends see em. I ,,,,, ahem,,,,, have one ,,,, in 10mm. Heavy, clunkey and ugly as homemade sin but in my defense it was $200 bucks OTD from a pawnshop. Admittedly I have a guilty pleasure with cheesy guns that work well and this was o so worth it.

PC9 charger all day. Get a brace, don't tell the game warden. Tandem Kross muzzle brake, Holosun shake awake red dot. I went with a tandem cross trigger assembly also and happy that I did. It takes 35 round Glock magazines. I'll post a picture later it is so much fun it's dumb at 100 yards.

The CZ Scorpion carbine with side flooding stock, not the pistol. Picked one up for chips n giggles with 2 x 30 and 2 x 20 mags for 9 bills. Added a V2 trigger, grip, AK style safety levers and an extended charging handle. Fun 9mm plinker.
Need to secure an 8" barrel to SBR it and a can.
Had an MP5SD issued. Accurate! If money was not a problem, look at an HK94.
The Scorpion with 16" barrel and foe can appears to be able to be cut and reckoned @ 8" and the factory handguard is big enough to allow a suppressor to be inserted through the front of the handguard to be threaded onto the barrel.
I looked at AR15/Glovk mag platforms but have a few different set ups floating around in The safe. Instead of adapting an existing platform to the 9mm, I wanted something from the ground up designed for the 9mm like the Beretta ect. The only thing to get me to an AR/Glock mag combo would be the 10mm.
A buddy got a 45 ACP TNW Glock mag carbine in to move and shot some 185, 200 SWC and some 230 factory ball through it and related it was a Lazer. They also make them in 9 and 10mm.

I have a beretta CX4Storm and a kelteck S2k Gen2/Glock mags. I like them both. The beretta is the better one, accurate and handy. The S2k is my 3rd. I couldn’t get either of my gen 1s to shoot without jamming. The 2nd generation is flawless.
They are fun range guns. I’ve shot the ruger, kinda chunky. Not shot the hipoint or the smith.

Every time I see a Hi Point I think of the rifles from the movie Planet of the Apes.

We have a Ruger PC9 on the range. It is a tough reliable little rifle. I like the option to use Glock magazines. Range buddy bought one of the Henry carbines. It looks well thought out too.

I wasn't overly excited over the idea of a .9mm carbine. USPSA then adopted the PCC division. It has become a very popular division. So,, I decided to jump into one,, but didn't want to invest heavily. I built one, and it's been fine. BUT,, it takes a specific type of magazine. Ruger came out with the PC9 Carbine,, and I thought; "I like Ruger," so I kinda looked at those as well.
In the major matches & many top competitors use the JP .9mm carbines. They are among the best. And of course,, you pay for that.
Finally I won a Ruger PC9 Carbine at a FoNRA event. It's a take down version, and has the threaded barrel. I have to say,, I've enjoyed getting classified in USPSA using that Ruger. The thought that went into making the gun capable of using the Glock magazines, is an excellent idea for the folks who want/need very high capacity. Glock mags aren't expensive & plentiful.

Does the squishy rubber cheek piece pull your beard when you fire it? Mine does and it hurts like the dickens. I am either going to replace the pad with leather or put duct tape over it so it is slick. I hate the spring loaded stock on mine. Accurate as all get out, but I have to do something about that cheek piece.

Both that pad and the sprongy buttpad belong in the airsoft world. If it starts pulling hair I may try and fold a piece of Kydex over it. Or like you said, leather , cut out a piece of horse stall matt, truck mud flap, something.
