Anyone ever see one of these? If my information is correct there were only 3 of these made but John Taffin or some of you other experts might know different so I'm throwing it out there. Also any idea on a ballpark value would be nice, thanks! Dick

Saw a scoped one last year December, asking price was 1200.00, had a broken hand and cylinder was loose and sloppy. Cylinder simply marked “45”, don’t know if it was 454 or 45min mag.

I know Seyfried tested one back in the 80's. I've seen a few for sale over the years, enough to know they built more than 3. But they're far from common. The last one I saw was going for about 2/3 of what a used FA was going for at the time.

My shop had one in 45 Win sometimes back. Probably should have snagged it, but wasn't interesting to me.
Definitely a mistake...

What Sixshot posted above is the original North American Arms .454 Casull. There were a handful made in late '77 and into '78. Definitely more than 3, but not by much. Here's an article on them from Handloader's Digest. All of these Casull NAA's were fixed sighted and had 7.5" barrels. North American Arms went on to produce their "Eagle" in the early 80's. These were chambered in .450 Magnum Express, .45 Colt, and .45 Win Mag and were all adjustable sighted. To my knowledge, Dick Casull had no affiliation with NAA when then manufactured the Eagle. Here's a photo of mine in .450 Express: -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

Thanks for the help Lee. My friend that went to Africa with me sent me the photo's, he said his brother bought it last week & that it is unfired except for the factory test load shown. He got a box of factory ammo with it labeled like the one shown. Dick

What's the difference between the NAA 454's and the NAA 450's? Tony
