How about my 58 single six in the coolest holster ever? It belonged to John Hart. He was the Lone Ranger for 52 episodes The holster was made by Hunter Holsters to mimic the one he used on the show. The show holsters were a dual set to carry 2 SAA guns. A friend of his contacted me after I posted that I bought it. He told me that John Used the holster to carry a single six while riding horses. He said that John Did a lot of public appearances after the show ended. Instead of carrying the very heavy rig he would simply slip this one on and carry a single six using a black belt. Hunter has contacted me about the Holster and they would like to have it. It isn't for sale. I was a Lone Ranger fan as a kid and this is beyond cool to me. Since I posted this I have learned more. Hunter built a belt to carry this holster with a single six that had cartridge loops that held the fake silver bullets he passed out, not .22s. I also know that that Ruger built a special single six for John and made it look like a SAA. It had Ivory grips on it and was given to John by Bill Ruger in 1974 or 1975. The owner of the gun wants this holster which I wont sell. It was given to him by Beryl Hart, John's wife. I want the gun which he wont sell. We both want the belt and neither of us knows where it is. Hunter wants all of it but niether he or I will sell the gun or holster and they don't know where the belt is either. The holster was made in the 50s along with the belt. He originally carried the 1958 single six in it. That gun that he shot was given to a friend of the family as was the Bill Ruger gun. Who knew that Bill Ruger was a Lone Ranger fan. The holster and belt were split up at the estate auction.

That's a pretty cool story. Any chance pictures exist of that ivory handled special one-off SAA single six the other guy owns?

I have one or two. A Virginian .22 was my first single action at 12. No pics of it or a few others. Guess I need to rectify that one cloudy day. The Murbach guns. Highest mileage gun. I have two of these but only pics of one. The littlest. The nicest. The newest.

This is my late mom's single six. I gave it to her as a gift. A homemade pistol sleeve she made for it. I had a couple of rifle sleeves too from the same material, but lost them when my house burnt. The pistol sleeve was at her house at the time of the fire.

O my! Not a single action. But unless you were picky about ammo selection it was a single shot.

O my! Not a single action. But unless you were picky about ammo selection it was a single shot. I've got three of them...all run like a top... Biggest trick is having a good magazine. The feed ramp is built into the mag and if it doesn't line up correctly they become Jam-O-Matics...
