S&W MODEL 16 32 MAGS ARE GOING FOR THAT KIND'a MONEY, I SUSPECT THIS MODEL 97 WOULD BE THE BETTER SHOOTER.

Checked the completed auctions over on GB and of the 4" and 6" guns there, completed auctions started at $1900 and went to over $2500 for a LMIB 4"... A year ago one could get a nice 4" for $1700...
Ya gotta wonder why S&W completely abandoned the .32/.327s when Ruger is selling all they can make and people are begging for more models to be brought out...

Since Freedom Arms no longer offers the 32 Magnum, that one should be desirable.

I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT THE MODEL 16's IN 32 MAG, SEEMS LIKE THEY ALL START OVER $2,000 OR END UP OVER $2,000, JUST TOO MUCH FOR A REVOLVER I WOULD NOT HAVE ANY FIELD USE FOR.

Rey, in these parts, the .32 Mag. is great for groundhogs and such. I did find it to be unsatisfactory for Texas javelina.

I JUST SENT A MEDIUM FEMALE TO THE TAMALE EXCHANGE WITH A FEDERAL 327 IN A 5.5" FA MODEL 97 - A 100gr XTP @ 1,550fps, PRETTY DAMN GOOD PERFORMANCE. WHAT AMMO WERE YOU USING ON THE J's? |

Rey, The .327 is a helluva lot stronger than the .32 H&R Magnum, as you know. My FA .32 H&R Mag. ran an 85 gr. XTP @ 1200 fps in front of 4227.
