Not one of them a 44, hence not the best caliber.

You add 4 more digits to 41 to get the best!

It's a great round. Slight women, small children and effeminate men need something to shoot too. That bobbed 58 with the troopers is calling me. Of course I'd never shoot it and wouldn't be able to see the sights, especially orange, but that doesn't keep me from wanting it.

The shop I work part time for has an old 41 Redhawk with long barrel and box. Neat revolver. I was tempted.

Good timing, my 41 mag project got derailed, so I'm on the lookout for a plug and play .41 until I get back on track.

If the rest of you guys just wouldn't bid me up, we could have a good story to tell about that 58!

NOT DEMEANING THE 41 MAG BUT SOILED UNDERWEAR IS MORE LIKELY TO GET USE AT MY HOUSE THAN EITHER OF MY 41 MAGS.

I've got two 58s...a 1964/5 that is parkerized just like the one above and a 70s vintage that has been Mag-Na-Port QuadPorted, bobbed hammer and beautiful action job. The parkerized one locks up like a Freedaom Arms and is extremely accurate... Have some greenish/yellow paint on the front ramps...
Both have Herrett's Detective stocks... Those Jordan Trooper stocks are about $200 now...

I've shot a lot of 250-260 gr 41 magnum loads through deer, elk, bears, etc & never have been able to see any difference from a 44 or 45 shooting 250-260 gr bullets yet, but some people tell me the 41 just can't keep up.......... Dick

Pay attention to what Dick just said. He is right, and it kills somewhat better than the 44. Several bullets got designed to accomplish this and they do. The only problem with the 41 caliber is no one produces a factory 41 Special to go with it.
