Over the years, I have collected many different powders, many times in pounds instead of pound. Now that my interest in experimenting with different loads has dwindled, I need to get rid of some. There is a local auction house here that will sell those on consignment. So I think I will packaged up some new cans and some primers and try to recoup some of the cost of these. Hopefully it gets well and I don't loose my shirt so the speak.

If it’s the same auction house I’m thinking of. Make sure they will take partials. They stopped taking partial boxes of ammo and pounds of powder etc.

Petersons?
I'm weighing each one now to ensure it's full. Then remarking open ones.

Been noticing the large pistol primer thread, made me count…got a full case, and 6+ 1000 round boxes of domestic LP primers… I shoot s lot of 45 Colt, and it was my intention a couple shortages ago, to have a life time supply… but I may be in the same boat with my powders, after inherited FIL’s powder “library, and adding it to my personal well stocked library, I likely have more than a life time supply, including older powders like PB, and several that are no longer available

Personally I would not sell powder or primers right now, trade maybe for other stuff you can use that is overpriced these days. But until availability changes you’ve got a good investment sitting in your house. Now if you’re just hard up and need to sell by all means get something for your stuff. Your lifetime supply is very different from mine, a local fella just sold 1000 LPP for 80.00. That’s 400.00 a case, it might be a fair price these days, I don’t know. But that’s a price I’d hate to have to pay because I sold my stuff and now need some.

Trust me, I thought about this quite a bit. After getting ill last year made me rethink the things I have. I have liquidated more than 1/2 of my firearms. Now it's time to reduce some inventory of powders that I doubt I'll ever use.
Lastly, God forbid my wife has to get rid of this and is victim to the vultures out there.

Magman I understand completely, just sold the contents of my reloading room! Presses, dies, tools all that 50 years of reloading, casting and shooting that an old cop can scrounge and hoard.
1/3 of my firearms sold to one buyer and several on the block. Have kept enough for SD.
My grandson who I was hoping to teach shooting and reloading. Just moved to the big city and doesn't want anything to do with "woods bumming".
I plan on using the proceeds to repair a sidewalk and possibly a newer SUV. The old reloading room will become an office/study/mancave. What's left over will go to wife and kid.

The auction turned out ok. Averaged $38 a pound on power and the primers went for $100 per thousand.
The next auction, I may go through my bullet collection and see what can go.
