Snyd, what kind of horn is the grip made out of? Unbelievably beautiful. Same for the other gentleman’s.

Hey King, what kind of grip material was used for yours in the photos? Looks similar to Snyd’s and is perfect to my eyes

Snyd, what kind of horn is the grip made out of? Unbelievably beautiful. Same for the other gentleman’s. Ya, Dall Sheep from a Ram I killed in the Brooks Range here in Alaska. Not the Ram in my avatar, that's my FA 454 Ram and he's on the wall! Horns and gun went to Rob Rowen. A couple other guys here got some of the same horn from that Ram on their guns by Rob. I hiked in over 15 miles with my partner and we got 2 Rams on that trip. Had to make two 30+ mile round trips to pack out both rams. I did a euro mount on the horns and a few years later decided to put them on the Gallagher (RIP) 500L that Bowen massaged. So its a Gallagher, Bowen, Rowen gun with horn from a Ram I killed. A special keepsake to me for sure. Oh, and I did manage to kill a moose with it just after I got it. So it's got some blood on it!

That history and provenance on both gun and grips is probably my favorite I’ve heard. And I’ve said it before but those panels have my absolute favorite character, where you can see the rings in the grain. Just all around awesome.

That is so cool, gentlemen! And also it really is one of the most aesthetically pleasing materials out there. So to have a such a strong personal connection and story to it is really special

Bowen 500L Nimrod with Flutes and lanyard ring Goodness, Cowpuncher. What a lineup…. That is a hell of a collection… Is it possible that you have a favorite model/maker/cartridge combo in there, or equal love for them all?
