I bought a Single Six .32 mag from Weaslemeatandgravy from the Ruger forum. Dropped it off with a local gunsmith. Two years later I picked it up and am very pleased with the results. Fitted Steel gripframe Super Blackhawk style hammer made by welding a SBH thumbspur to the SS hammer Removal of "Surgeon Generals Warning" on the side of the barrel New stocks from a couple slabs I had gotten from one of the gunsmiths at Turnbull Restoration. I think they might be cocobolo Steel ejector rod housing. I think it came out absolutely perfect. Now it's time to try to wear the bluing off it like on my Single Six .22 Holster is from Doc Barranti Knife is from Kim Ralston This is the .22 SS it is taking over for. It must have accounted for over 13 porcupines over the years.

Nice upgrade of the same features! Should feel like the same gun. Wood is not Cocobolo. Looks like straight up Walnut, nicely figured ,flaming Walnut.

Some of the most underrated revolvers out there. Nice work.

Thanks for the clarification on the wood. I kind of thought it was cocobolo as the guy who did the work was suprised at how hard it was.
And yep, all a guy needs most of the time! Especially in the North East.

I love the well worn .22! Guns deserve to be used and that one obviously has; lota of memories of adventures past with a gun like That.
I too have been a recent convert to the .32Mag. Have a pair of Single Sixes that are currently our most used field pieces.
Hope this link works.

All set to handle what the day may bring. Funny, was digging out, que'ing up 32mag brass earlier in the week. My 22/22mag S.S. will be sad to be left to home in the future too.

the guy who did the work was suprised at how hard it was. That kind of Walnut is normally quite easy to work. If it was hard there is a good chance it was stabilized, and that's a good thing.

If I may, and I am a bit of a 32 cal nut, it needs a Fermin Garza front sight and perhaps a Bowen rear sight added. Both can easily be switched out by yourself and make the gun so much more shootable.
Once I started shooting 32s years ago I completely forgot about 22lr revolvers. You can load them from mild to wild, they are just plain fun and useful.

Nice little carry gun. I personally find the S6 32 Mag or 327 Federal nearly about perfect if you handload.
Perfect little setup, Kudos!!!

It's funny, when Single Sevens came out I dumped all my Single Sixes Fast as I could . I was sure the bottom would drop out on 32mag cuz who would want them after 327became available? Now I have really spent a lot of time and money getting back some Single Sixes and other 32mags because they are so good at what they do. So much for my crystal ball.

And I do reload for the .32, cheapest way to keep the plinking affordable.

My son absolutely wants it due to the wear on it. He wants to add to it himself. Link did not work. Can you try to repost it please?
