The octagon barrel on that one looks like a style Gallagher was offering for awhile, my 500Max has the same style, with the ramp pulled back from the muzzle in a graceful arcing swoop.

When I found that gun David had already installed the rear sight but that was pretty much it. I sent it to Ben along with a 357 max cylinder and he took it from there. This also about the time I was introduced to the TLA guns so I asked Ben about doing a TLA/#5 type front sight. To be honest, the resulting front sight was not what I was anticipating and the fault was all mine. This was the custom gun that taught me that I can not expect a gunsmith to “look at my butt and read my mind “ as my dad used to say. I looked back at my notes and realized Ben built exactly what I asked for but what I asked for was actually different than what I had in my minds eye. A valuable lesson learned in my part and one that I have kept in mind on subsequent builds. The plan on this one, once it gets out of background prison, is to work with Ben to change the front sight arrangement. See…I’m wrong again… I was wondering why you seemed sketchy on the details. We are getting older. Should have bought it from Tim long ago but glad you’ve got it back.

I picked up an Andy Horvath custom 44 magnum for 650.00 one day while others were looking at over my budget Winchester rifles from an estate. Ruger Super Blackhawk stainless 5.5 inch barrel Full black powder chamfer Fluted cylinder Rounded trigger guard Birds head grip
There was no maker mark that I could find but when I posted pictures (with help), others knew the work right away. Probably a 2,000.00 pistol for 650.00, I will take that deal all day! The thing shoots anything I feed it better than I can hold it. The pity of it all is it looked unfired after the work was done. I remedied that right quick.

That's an absolute Jewel. I'd have to have Hamilton chamfer that cylinder while I was at it too for my taste.
