Headed out for a day trip to meet family at a half way point and share a meal and swap packages. I’m definitely getting the better end of the deal with their grandkids getting books and games and I’m bringing home 3 Ruger Blackhawks😄. North up to the Columbus river then east in the Gorge past beautiful Multnomah Falls, skirt the north side of Mt. Hood then lunch in Hood Ruvervwhich is called the wind surfing capitol of the world. The Gifge can be a little dicey driving this time of year but the views snd scenery plus seeing family makes the trip worth it.

It turned out to be a perfect day for traveling up the Columbia! Enjoyed many a drive on Hwy 30. This is a nice place to stop & enjoy a bowl of Salmon Chowder: brighamfish.com

Good thing you made the trip last weekend and not this coming weekend. The weather folks are predicting that the gorge will be a giant popsicle starting on Friday. It is really pretty drive from Troutdale to Hood River.
Great looking Blackhawks too!

Ya, I won't be heading up the Columbia skating rink this weekend! Just stick around here and work in the shop. Those two short barrel guns are as nice a pair of old models as I have ever had. The New model l30 carbine is almost just as nice. I need to get good pictures of the 30 Carbine and get it on the Ruger Forum. No desire to load for another revolver cartridge at this stage of the game.
