Is the Neal Waltz die still available for sale? Have been looking for one of those that can both make a flat nose as well as a hollow point.

Can't remember where I saw this, but there was a "die" that you placed a 22RF shell into and the bullet would protrude out of the opposite end which you then would cut off what stuck out. The attached article also had before and after photos of clay blocks showing how much this modification added to the expansion of the clay; it was significant. Sort of like a mini SWC bullet but with out a shoulder. Would be pretty easy to make this type of tool. That was the old SGB die. You filed off the tip then put it in the Paco die and HP or dish nosed it.

I have a couple sets of those dies but I haven’t checked to see how tight the bore is to bullet size.

i'm not understanding that die, are you loading your own rimfire? Yes. You can load the 50 grain solids with a fast 6 twist barrel. Or the lighter ones with regular factory barrels. I think I have a 6 twist bartlein and Vudoo actions.

Die set works great, Neal is up in age, if you want a set you shouldn’t hold off. He’s a lot easier to get a hold of by calling him. I don’t think he checks emails regularly. www.portercalls.com/neal_waltz_die.htm
