So I have a lot of holsters, some old, for guns like top breaks, that have not been made for a long time... some are holsters I made like 10-15 years ago when I had more time... some are from famous makers ( I have several full floral engraved H Heizer holsters ) & while I need to take an honest look at them all & sell off some extras, the ones I would end up keeping take up a lot of space, & they need to be kept where they won't get "fuzzy"... honestly some of the older ones have been fuzzy before, & been cleaned up... seems like vegetable tanned leather, which is perfect for holsters, is more susceptible to getting fuzzy, than some other leathers I currently use a shoe rack, & while it's working very well, as far as keeping the holsters from the fuzzies... it's cloth, with a wood frame, & some rollers on the bottom ( I think it came from Walmart )... it's too rickety, & cumbersome &, takes up too much space, its as tall as a door, with cloth slots top to bottom, for shoes ( but, the holsters fit in it well )... I have a back work bench that has a tool box base on each end with 5-6 drawers... right now, mostly empty... the drawers have been holding my bullets molds well, for several years now & I have a couple dehumidifiers in my gun safe room... I'm wondering if I buy a large ( 500 gram ) discant bag for each drawer, if that will allow me to fill the drawers with holsters safely??? currently they are fine in the shoe rack, with the moisture conditions in the room, but getting full air circulation ( I have several rolls of leather on a shelf, in the same room, that haven't gotten fuzzy between layers ) I'm hoping I can condense the holsters into drawers...
what say you guys???
