Just a swag but wood turning tools. The fine stones and the adjustable clamp for chisels and skews the cone for roughing gouges? Very nice setup.

Magnumwheelman I think it might be a tool for grinding and polishing and shaping stones. I saw a news story one time about
people that used petoskey stones to make jewelery and also polished and shaped for decorations. The machine they showed looked
very similar. Theres also had the coolant setup

With the way the clamp is parallel to the face of the two lower stones it almost looks like it is meant to hold something with a straight edge. Does that side clamp slide back and forth quite a ways?

We had a machine very similar to that for cutting, grinding, sparpening "knives" for the heads on a commercial molding machine. The machine produced, base mold, door case, etc. Each different cutting head had 1-4 "knives of a given profile, and profiles were only limited by imagination!

Junebug nailed it, it's a grinder for sharpening wood chisels and the tapered stone is for gouges. The clamp/vice thing holds chisels at the proper angle, and the boxes behind the stones hold water. We had one like it at work for a while. Nice score!

The front brace bar has knobs to adjust... they are pretty stiff , but I can for sure change the angle... not sure how much I can change the distance from the wheel... wondering if there were more or different clamps that attached to that bar
