Did a plunk test with some 147 Zero JHP and in the Tisas, the bullet was just off the lands and dropped freely at 1.225", it's a long throat, but it shoots darn nice.

Ok I am going to ask the question but what is with your shooting the heavy 147gr bullets and heavier only? Since the standard 9mm loads seem to be 115gr and 124gr bullets it seems a more normal place to start.
I ask as I am running a new Colt 1911 9mm and playing with different loads but so far it has been mostly 115gr HAP and/or XTP bullets and some 133gr MIHA cast bullets I cast. The chamber is very tight and has been a bit particular about what cast bullet can be used and the seating depth. But making headway

Thanks for the question. I have always been one to shoot heavy for caliber bullets, I think it mostly goes to my f-class shooting where I would shoot the long and heavy bullets, which were better for longer ranges. I am also not the type to push for velocity, which tends to be the case with lighter projectiles.

Just went out and tested my 147 Zero bullets load in the Tisas. Target was at 25 yards. This pistol flat out impresses me! Group was right around 2"......edit, just measured group, 4 shots into just shy of 7/8" and 5 into 1-15/16"

Did another session this morning with the Tisas.....25 yards, longshot powder, Winchester brass, federal champion s.p. primers and 147 zero JHP seated at 1.155. 5 shots into 1.75".....I'm happy with that!

I picked up a .45 ACP Service Special a while back. It is a great shooter and has been 100% reliable. They are impossible to beat for th e price.

I bought a Tisas 45 Tanker last Fall and absolutely love it. I just pushed the BIN button on the 9mm version this past weekend and am looking forward to it's arrival as well...These are amazing quality guns for the price!

I've been nothing but pleased with my Tisas 1911. The next gun I buy will be their 10mm with adjustable sights: -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

Will standard 1911 full size grip panels fit on the Tisas? Mine came with the VZ style grips and are too wide for my hand. Just sold some Colt panels or I could answer my own question.
TIA.
