Like a lot of “fringe” activities handgun hunting suffers from the need not generating enough to meet marketing profits. We are simply a teenie tiny drop in a bucket, and manufacturers need to sell product to justify making it. Many of the major manufacturers make bullets suitable for the vast majority of handgun hunters, and they are happy to pay the price for them, the small niche that wants or needs a premium bullet to hunt with is a much smaller portion of the teenie tiny drop, and we are happy to pay the price for them, but it’s not enough to cover set up, production, marketing, and overhead. It sux, but I could easily see a lot of product becoming a seasonal production or going away all together.

I've no dogs in the 45 bore hunt, but this thread, this kinda thread is what makes this forum so wondrous.

I bought a bunch of them in bulk a couple years back. I can't remember if the guy said they were pulled down or 2nds. They were about 60cents each. He still had 750 of them at the time. They were .452 300gr. His contact info was
Eric Penn10EE@gmail.com
No idea if he still has them or what he'd want for them. Don't shoot them anymore since I got out of the 454 game.

I may have bought what he had, I bought a bunch from someone a few years back, 500-750 sounds about right and they were recycled. They shoot just fine, and I’ve got what I figure to be a lifetime supply.

Anybody used the 327 100 grain A frame on medium game? How about the similar XTP?
I've got some 100 grain XTPs, have considered 120ish grain cast, but haven't really settled on what might make the 327 pistol potentially a hunting gun at appropriate ranges.

Anybody used the 327 100 grain A frame on medium game? How about the similar XTP? A friend down south has used his 327 to take three deer... I know he used 100gr Gold Dot on the last one...

Too bad Speer quit making that heavier Gold Dot, it probably would have been a dandy on deer size game. Believe it was 115 grs.
