I assume these are generally silver soldered onto the end of the barrel, or are they a tight enough fit, that they generally are just installed with the screw in the hole visible in the top rib, in front of the sight blade???

I fit one on a levergun barrel, got it level and lined up, press fit with red lock tite. At least a hundred rounds no issues

It's been a while since I did one, but mine are affixed with two screws. I used one of the existing sight holes and drilled a second. -Lee www.singleactions.com "Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

I’ve loctited, epoxied and Jb welded them in addition to the supplied screws. Overkill probably but no slippage.

I've use low temp silver solder like Hi-Force 44 with several of them. All are still in place on fairly heavy kickers.
