I seem to remember that these rifles took differing heights of rings between the fronts & rears... is my memory a little foggy???
I see both on Ruger's sight & on Midway they are sold only as singles, which seems kinda weird... because they sell them as singles, they must be the same height, or wouldn't they sell them in sets???

Gosh, sitting here I cant remember for sure one way or the other. I thought front and rear were the same but cant bet money on that yet.

I had a mild stroke a few months ago... I'm pretty much "normal" but a few areas of grey matter have lost memories... & just seems like I ran into this for something??? might have been the older "boat paddle" stocked rifles, of which, this is one I'm looking for rings for... in essence this post kinda sucks, because that means winter is here, & it's time to work on my guns again ( not that I don't like working on guns ) I'm just getting to hate winter

The 77 and SRH use rings of unequal heights. They can be purchased individually or in sets...

You're correct. They go 3-6, starting at medium and going up to extra high. shopruger.com/PDF/ScopeRingChart.pdfVarious rifles will sometimes require a 5 front 4 rear etc., the chart should clear that part up as I'm not 100% on that one.

Thanks... that's what I was thinking... so are they one height off??? so if I wanted a high ring on the front, I'd need a medium height for the rear... or the other way around???
I'm not finding any stainless "sets" only individual rings on the couple sites I've looked, including Rugers
