Your best bet may well be to find a local FFL that is in the UPS system and pay them to handle it.

I have sold a pile of hand guns for my family, from my uncles estate. I take them to a FFL in town, and for a $20. Fee per, they do all the paperwork, transfer, shipping. Done easily, legally and efficiently. Well worth the small fee

If an FFL has jumped through all the hoops with UPS and FedEx (signing the agreements/contracts/etc.) and now has a commercial account with them, then they can ship firearms, firearm parts, and firearm related items (3 different contracts to sign for UPS, don't know about FedEx). Individuals can still ship long guns and firearm parts and related items - EXCEPT LOADED AMMO and the serialized part (frame) of handguns, through USPS. FFL's can ship handguns, handgun serialized parts (frame), long guns and firearm related items using USPS.
I'm small (single person business) so I will not be going through all the hoopla that UPS and FedEx forcing FFL's and firearms businesses to do to ship. I really believe they are being forced by this administration to do this as a way for this .gov to further obstruct our freedom to keep and bear arms (My opinion). I have been shipping firearms and fiream parts for 25 years using USPS and have never had any go missing or stolen. Just last week I shipped, Priority Mail, a Winchester 1897 12 ga. to Barrow, AK (about as far north as you can get in the US) and it took 5 days to get there (and arrived in perfect condition). I'll just keep using USPS.
