Sounds like this will be a win. Good news, because those are neat little revolvers.
Not strictly a problem inherent to "cheap" revolvers either. I got one of the first of the original 1,000 Lipsey's 44 Special Flat Tops and fought with it for five years. Ruger sent me a label and had me return it. Not long after it left, they called and asked for an FFL. They did not specify, but the gun was so out of whack that they replaced the whole thing. New one is a gem.

12/21/22.... Two months out. Still waiting on Taurus to deliver my gun. I understand that this is where they get a lot of criticism. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) Maybe next year.

Sadly, perhaps a Taurus is still a Taurus, is still a Taurus.

I had Taurus replace a PT-92 pistol once, many years ago. First the sear broke, which they replaced pretty quickly. Then, a mark on the breech face that I had been keeping an eye on turned into a crack, so I asked them to replace the pistol. They did. Wish I'd just had them replace the slide on the first gun! The second one would barely print on the paper at 25 yards; the barrel was improperly fitted, and was leaning hard to the left. Sent it back and asked them to fix it. They improved it, a little - it shot slightly closer to the center of the target now. Sold it, and never looked back. I hope they send AxeHandle a **NEW** gun, rather than a shop beater that they have laying around.

I’ve owned exactly 1 Taurus. A 942? 4” 8 shot .22 magnum. It was a good concept but it shot patterns not groups!!! When I contactex Taurus they said their accuracy standard was 3” at 15 yards. Traded it off quick for a Single Six.
I worked at a gun shop for a few years. We literally sent back a few Taurus a week. Not just one specific model. It was across the board. So much I still remember the address!!
I will never own another. Same could be said about Mossberg.

My range used to rent out Taurus pistols, revolvers and they were always getting sent back to Taurus. My local gunsmith won't work on them. Says "You can't make chicken salad out of chicken sh*t."

Never owned a Taurus or Rossi nor am I likely to. I have owned a few Mossberg shotguns and never had issues with those.

Never was a Taurus or Mossberg fan until I became range manager for an indoor range with 15-25K shooters a year and 125 or so range guns for customers to shoot. We have Taurus and Mossberg products here. They are, as a general rule, tough and reliable. There isn't a gun on the sales floor that gives as much bang for the dollar.

![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png) Sad, sad, sad. ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png) So much for bold talk of "new and improved", this old dog still plays the same "old" tricks.

Guess I have been lucky...have owned about 6 Taurus revolvers and one semi and the only one I had a problem with was a used 4" Titanium Tracker in .41 Magnum. Cylinder started binding and called the company...they didn't even ask if I was the original owner, just send it back and they paid...
Came back fine, but within a few cylinders full the binding started again..
Got a tec on the phone and he said: "..these guns aren't made for hot Magnums".
"Well, I'm using Winchester Silvertip which is probably the lowest pressure .41 Magnum on the market"
"No it isn't..." ...really? There was nothing in the instruction manual stating not to use full Magnum ammo...
They paid for the round trip again and both times it went to Brazil to be fixed...by a slow banana boat...
Have shot it a bunch since and zero issues.

Following. I know what they are saying but this situation shows otherwise. I am going to make someone directly involved with their "new attitude" aware of it.

At the 4 month mark. 4 MONTHS! Haven't heard a word. Constructing a plan to box up every Taurus I own. While I will still praise what I've seen in the Taurus 9mm semiautos on our range there will never be another Taurus product at my house.

"At the 4 month mark. 4 MONTHS!"...hey banana boats are really really slow....
Both times my Ti Tracker was sent off it was at least 4-6 months....
